I'm Aisling. I'm a "dorkerella," on the never ending quest to be the world's greatest know-it-all. This is my story.
Well, the second trimester has just got started! Yesterday we had work tours, and today we had interviews. I will be working at Dunning-Foubert Elementary School. I'm pretty much a Teacher's Aide. I'm really excited! I don't start until Tuesday though, because it's a PD Day on Monday.
I'm still trying to get used to this French keyboard, and my finger is still taped, so bare with me!!!
Tonight we went into the city (that being the city of Ottawa, a.k.a. the Capital City of Canada) and went to Rideau Center (mall). I love it here (not just the mall, but in Ottawa and Orléans in general) because it is SO BILINGUAL!!! You hear French and English everywhere, and I'm already finding it difficult to tell the difference! It makes it really easy to learn as well, because most people speak both languages! And all the signs are bilingual, so that's cool too. Yeah, this is definitely different than the West.
Oh, and MILK comes in BAGS!!!!! BAGS!!!!!! I think that you don't understand (Alex's new fav saying....).
This weekend we're just hanging out and making the place feel more like our home. So, that will be good. It feels like Saturday today for some reason, but it's not (at least for another 40 minutes).... Anyway, I'm rambling, and it's not worth the frusteration of typing!!! So, I'll end this here!
Bye / Au revoir!
