I'm Aisling. I'm a "dorkerella," on the never ending quest to be the world's greatest know-it-all. This is my story.

The break is almost over...

Unfortunately, my two month reprieve from everything is drawing to a close. I've begun to search the job websites for suitable employers, and sort of out my resume. I've been thinking a lot more with school, and trying to decide what I really want to do. I'm pretty sure I would like to be a teacher- it's been my plan for the last six months, but I've been trying to consider other options to make sure I am very sure of what I want to do. I mean, this is my career for the rest of my life, probably.

Another idea was presented to me, which was to become an Educational Assistant for a little while. If I take the course full-time during the week, I can be finished within a few months, and start temping at schools. This way, I would get more experience, and have a bit of an "in," with the Board of Education when I do go back to school to become a teacher.

So, I don't know! I guess it's time to seriously consider my options and start trying to formulate a plan.

Random Fact of the Day: Nearly half of graduates choose a career in a different subject than their major.

Ooh, I thought of becoming a teacher as well, but I simply don't have the patience for it :P

I know people change careers twice or even thrice in their lifetime, so you don't have to pressure yourself in sticking with a certain career :3

Good luck!
(Oooh, and your layout looks lovely!)

haha, that's totally gonna be me. I'd so like be an English major and end up a doctor or something.

Seeing as I'm still a junior in HS, your whole dilemma is a bit beyond me, but good luck with whatever you choose...I'm sure you'll be great no matter what! :)

That sounds like a very difficult decision! I hope you'll figure out what you really want to do. Good luck!

I think a lot of graduates choose careers in different subjects than their majors because they really don't know what they want to do at that age :/

Teaching is one of the things I've always wanted to do, but I doubt I would actually go into it.

Good luck with your plan - and your future! ;D

Keep in mind that people change careers (not jobs, careers!) an average of seven times in their life!

Good luck deciding. I have ideas about what I want to do with my life and about what careers I'd like to pursue (law!!) but I'm not exactly close to turning those ideas into reality. Ah! It's all just so scary.

But, anyway, with your personality - you'd make an awesome teacher. You'd be so much fun!
